New Zealand might be winning Christmas this year, thanks to NZ Secret Santa.
It’s a tradition that’s gone on for the last five Christmas’s thanks to the people who have set up a nation-wide game of Secret Santa. Anyone with a mailing address inside the country and a Twitter account could sign up, to be matched with a random person.
But you had no idea who was buying a gift for you, and the only way to learn about what a great gift for the other person would be, is by stalking them on Twitter.
And this company does a lot of work to make it such a great tradition. All gifts have to be sent to their warehouse by December 4. Then, their ‘elves’ go through every gift to make sure they are safe and appropriate. Then, the packages are sent off to the waiting participant for a Christmas surprise.
