I think a lot of people have “unfriended” during this political season. This is the official day to get rid of your “friends” and not feel guilty about it. Jimmy Kimmel founded National Unfriend Day in 2014 to combat the growing trend of people amassing a ridiculous amount of “friends” online that they barely know (or even like). On November 17, unfriend all of the people on your social media feeds who take incessant selfies and go on lengthy political rants. Be sure to get rid of your frenemies from high school as well. You’re also encouraged to take a moment to express your gratitude for your real friends–you know, the ones who are there for you whether or not you like their latest post.
