The biggest question surrounding the upcoming election…who will play Trump on SNL?!?!?! Saturday Night Live will rely on one of its most beloved guest hosts to fill the shoes of Republican presidential contender Donald Trump when the show returns for its 42nd season this weekend: Oscar-nominated actor Alec Baldwin. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Baldwin will debut his Trump impression on this Saturday’s season premiere and will continue to play Trump throughout the year. Darrell Hammond, an SNL alumni who returned to the show as its announcer and brought back his beloved Trump impression after the businessman launched his presidential campaign, will remain with the show as announcer and occasional on-camera performer. Yesterday, SNL dropped a season-premiere teaser that shows Baldwin’s Trump facing off against Kate McKinnon’s Hillary Clinton.
Margot Robbie will be the host and the musical guest is the Weekend.
