The rumors were true: SoundCloud is indeed launching their own subscription service.
After a contract leaked revealing the details of the alleged three-tier service, the company’s co-founder Eric Wahlforss has confirmed their next move to The Wall Street Journal. While Wahlforss didn’t give any more details other than the announcement, if the contract is anything to go by the new rollout will offer three plans.
Free service reportedly includes a limited catalog and ads while the cheapest paid model includes an ad-free experience and a larger catalog. If users want to listen to SoundCloud’s entire catalog without ads, they will allegedly have to shell out even more.
