I love to read! I probably finish a book or two a week. I recently caved and bought a Kindle, although I’m still a fan of the actual, touch it, feel it, turn the page kind of book. Don’t get me wrong the Kindle is very convenient and much easier to carry around but there’s something about the actual book….know what I mean? I would love to know what you’re reading and if you read any of the ones I recommend, let me know what you think!!! Here’s a couple I’ve finished in the last two weeks.
“We Were Liars” by E. Lockhart- Don’t stop reading if you can’t get into it!!! Please! It’s a little difficult at first. I’m not sure if it’s the writing style of the author or if the story just isn’t as gripping at first, but you have to see this through. You will be tempted to quit. Just finish it, trust me. And if anyone asks you how it ends, just LIE. Click here for more information.
“The Farm” by Tom Rob Smith-This one had me from the beginning. Very good but I’m so-so on the end. That’s all I’m saying! The book description reads:
“If you refuse to believe me, I will no longer consider you my son.
Daniel believed that his parents were enjoying a peaceful retirement on a remote farm in Sweden. But with a single phone call, everything changes.
Your mother…she’s not well, his father tells him. She’s been imagining things – terrible, terrible things. She’s had a psychotic breakdown, and been committed to a mental hospital.
Before Daniel can board a plane to Sweden, his mother calls: Everything that man has told you is a lie. I’m not mad… I need the police… Meet me at Heathrow.”

“The Goldfinch” by Donna Tartt-Ok I haven’t read this yet but I’m planning to this weekend. My friend Chrissy said it was the best book she has read in years! That’s a very strong statement. She also said to give yourself a few days to read it because you won’t be able to put it down! I’m excited to start it. Click here for information.
Again, let me know what you’re reading and if you read any of these and your thoughts. For more summer picks that I will be reading through, click here.
