Maroon 5 shall waste no time for their Interscope Records debut — the band will release their first album on the label this September.
V, the quartet’s fifth studio album, will be out on Sept. 2. and will feature a lead single out this summer.
A new album has been in the conversation for awhile; last April, prior to a summer tour with Kelly Clarkson, potential new music was teased. According to a release, the band worked with a number of producers and writers for V, including Max Martin, OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, Benny Blanco, Sam Martin and Shellback. Blanco and Shellback were behind “Payphone,” one of Maroon 5’s biggest singles from 2012’s Overexposed, while Max Martin and Shellback produced “One More Night.”
