Ladies and Gentlemen, The Beatles!

50 years ago this weekend, on February 9, 1964, the Beatles played on the Ed Sullivan Show. It was America’s first look at the Fab Four and Beatlemania was underway.

Ed Sullivan was a big supporter of the Beatles and had them back on his show numerous times. This Sunday night on the 50th Anniversary of that landmark show, CBS will air a tribute to that important night.

The show will air in the same hour that Beatles were performing on the Ed Sullivan Show, on the same Network, and David Letterman will interview Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr in the same theater, the Ed Sullivan Theater where David Letterman tapes his Late Show as that historic night.

Ed Sullivan shared a moment and a special telegram that was sent to the Beatles.
