OK, it’s time for a little levity here.  As I’ve detailed here over the past few days, this Cardinals-Dodgers playoff series has gotten entirely too serious.

What with allegations of certain players “showing up” others with cheap “Mickey Mouse” stunts and various hard feelings between the teams,  I think the day off today (Thursday) came at just the right time for both players and fans.

Leave it to Will Ferrell to remind us all that baseball is supposed to be FUN!

Here he is yesterday, introducing the Dodger starting line-up before the game.

Who knew that Dodgers third baseman Juan Uribe was a Katy Perry fan?

Now that I’ve seen this, it’s apparent why Adrian Gonzales had such a great game for them yesterday.

I mean, who wouldn’t be inspired by an introduction like this?

Even though he’s  rooting for the other guys, this is funny.
