It’s going to be a big summer concert season in St. Louis–John Mayer, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5 and the Dave Matthews Band are just a few of the artists who will play shows here over the next several months–(not to mention Justin Timberlake and Pink in the Fall.)
Whether you’re a concert going veteran or you’re taking your teenager to their first show, it’s almost certain you will run into someone who won’t stop talking on their phone during the show or the drunken fat guy who loses the cognitive abilities to realize that NO!…you’re NOT his cousin Rich from the lake! (OK…that one happened to me not long ago.)
Oh, and if you haven’t been to a show in the last few years, get ready for one undeniable truth–everyone records everything. It must be a little disconcerting for an artist to be on stage and to look out into a sea of–not faces–but smartphones.
So, in the spirit of always attempting to look out for you, I thought that it would be a good time to revisit Rolling Stone’s list of the 10 most irritating concert behaviors.
I bet you’ll recognize most of them.
