Last Monday, as you know, an F-5 tornado ravaged the small town of Moore, Oklahoma. Homes, schools and businesses leveled. The same town that was hit with an equally devastating tornado in 1999. As this week’s storm barreled through Moore, completely destroying anything in its path, a miracle baby was born.
Trish and I stood just feet from the Moore Medical Center on 4th street. The side of the hospital had been torn apart, but the building was still standing. Trish ran into two employees of that hospital who told her that all the approximately 30 patients had been rescued from the building unhurt.
One of those patients was Shayla Taylor. She was in labor about to give birth to a son. Medical professionals rushed her into what they thought would be the safest place inside the hospital, an operating room. As the staff covered her with towels, the storm ran through town. She was taken out of the Moore Medical Center and into an ambulance to a hospital a few miles away and soon after her son, Braeden Immanuel was born.
Sahyla is now safe at home. Braeden is fine. He is a miracle baby.
Watch the amazing story.
