The emotion of a nation came together last night in Boston. The first professional sporting event since the terrorist bombing at the Boston Marathon was an NHL hockey game between the Boston Bruins and the Buffalo Sabres at Boston Gardens.
As always the national anthem was sung before the start of the game. As the the legendary anthem singer in Boston, Rene Rancourt began the anthem, the Boston Gardens crowd began to sing along at such a level that Rancourt backed away from the microphone and let the crowd take over.
It was a quite emotional moment just two days after a terrorist bombing killed three people and injured hundreds.
As always our thoughts, prayers and support are with the people of Boston.
Here’s the video of the very emotional national anthem before the Boston Bruins game last night.
