It’s in our nature as parents to want to spoil our kids as best we can because we love them! But do parents in certain cities go overboard more than others on average? Apparently, yes.
Now, it makes sense to think that in more affluent areas of the country like the coasts, you’d find more kids cruising around with iPads and Ferrari’s… but some of the cities in the Top 10 of a recent list from Bundle.com may actually surprise you.
So who tops the list? From the article:
“Given that Beyonce and Jay-Z purchased a pricey $3,500 crib and a $5,200 pink crystal-studded baby diamond bathtub for their baby Blue Ivy Carter’s 2,200 square foot New York City nursery, it should come as no surprise that New York, New York tops our list of cities that spoil their kids the most. Parents in Manhattan spend nearly double the U.S. average—which means that a million dollar baby is nothing out of the ordinary.”

That being said, here’s the Top 10:
- New York, NY
- Brooklyn, NY
- Miami, FL
- Minneapolis, MN
- Tulsa, OK
- Dallas, TX
- Atlanta, GA
- Los Angeles, CA
- San Diego, CA
- Fort Lauderdale, FL
New York is maybe a no-brainer… but Minneapolis coming in at #4? And why is Los Angeles only #8? Weird stuff, and the article doesn’t give much explanation as to why. So we’ll just have to assume that the kids up north are wearing really expensive coats!
You may be wondering where St. Louis comes in on this list… only at #15, right after Chicago! That’s not so bad, huh? And our kids are still happy. :)
