This is music to  our ears—According to a study by Nielsen,  the most popular way adults get their music is . . . RADIO.  The rest of the top five are iTunes, CDs, YouTube, and Pandora.

The shocking part of the story though is that 9% of adults say they still get their music from….get ready for it….CASSETTES!  That’s right, almost one in ten adults still get their music from cassettes!   There must be a lot of old mix tapes floating around out there.

That makes cassettes more popular than records, which got 6% of the vote, and more popular than several major streaming music services, including Spotify and Rhapsody.
