This summer, Fresh 102.5 and the PRACS Institute are saluting the women in St. Louis who are making a difference.
We continue our featured nominees with Donna Noonan, a mother of five who stays active in the community and encourages her family to do the same.
Here’s what Donna’s friend Cindy Albert from St. Louis, MO had to say about her:
Donna is the most remarkable, positive person I know. She’s a school counselor at DeSmet and a mother of five. She is an angel here on Earth!
Donna founded The Breakfast Club program at DeSmet Jesuit High School about 9 years ago after her sister-in-law died of cancer. The club is a weekly support group for boys who have lost a parent. Donna also moderates the Magis Men Service Club, which selects different communities in need to volunteer with each month. Donna keeps her family involved in community outreach by including them in her various service projects, and by surrounding them with other caring and positive people like herself.
Donna’s advice to other women trying to juggle work, family and community outreach?
Surround yourself with positive people. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
I really enjoyed my chat with Donna, who keeps her head above water doing great things in the community and counseling other children, all the while raising five of her own. Click below to listen to my full interview with Donna Noonan.
Do you know a woman who is inspirational, shows up to work with a positive attitude, and balances her work and personal life in ways that amaze you? Click here to tell us her story, and I may interview her for Fresh 102.5’s next Salute!
