Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band played a concert at Hyde Park in London Saturday night. Bruce is famous for his marathon concerts. For their encore they invited Sir Paul McCartney onstage.
It all makes sense. Paul McCartney will perform at the opening ceremonies at the Summer Olympics in London in less than two weeks.
Paul, Bruce and the E Street Band did “I Saw Her Standing There” and half of “Twist and Shout” when their microphones were shut off. There is a strict curfew in London and it was enforced even if it meant pulling the plug on a rare concert moment.
Here’s the video of their performance from Saturday night.
