You never know who is going to show up to one of Washington DC’s most star studded nights. Each year the Kennedy Center Honors pays tribute to the cultural contributions heavy hitters in the world of the arts have made to our country. We caught up with Sarah Jessica Parker, Meryl Streep, Glenn Close, Elmo, Lionel Richie, Newt Gingrich, and many more. On stage Tracey Ullman, Robert DeNiro, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Anne Hathaway, Bill Cosby, Matthew Broderick, Stephen Colbert, John Lithgow, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jennifer Nettles[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Smokey Robinson[/lastfm], and about 60 Boston Red Sox fans were part of the program.

[See the Kennedy Center Honors on December 27th at 9PM on CBS] Aside from being spotted at restaurants, boutiques and other notable spots all over Washington this weekend Kennedy Center Honorees, and the artist committee that recommends them, were treated to a private audience with The President and Mrs Obama at the White House, a reception with Secretary of State Hilary Clinton and other engagements leading up to the Honors.
