Which Foods Are You Addicted To?
A new study from Yale was published this month in the Archives of General Psychiatry that found that food addictions activate the brain in the same way that drug addictions do.
Researchers set out to uncover the link between food and substance dependencies, hoping to shed some light on the American obesity epidemic. They found that woman who suffer from obesity and show signs of addiction to specific foods may be responding to a physiological dependence and not just a lack of self-control.
