CHUY’S TEX-MEX RESTAURANT
Where’s the very best place to celebrate CINCO de MAYO??? How about the very first Tex-Mex Restaurant in St. Louis? Chuy Arzolas is the place that’s where. It’s baaaaack in a bigger and better location – up the street from the Moolah Theatre and right in the middle of Grand Center on Lindell and ready to knock it down on May 5th.
Heres the scoop on CINCO de MAYO at Chuys. It starts at 11:30 and goes til 1:30am. There will be fabulous food and drink specials all day – including Chuy’s famous Marguaritas. Try the locally brewed beer IGLESIA made with Agave nectar – perfect for the party. Register for a trip for two (2) to Mexico while you’re there and enjoy the music and DJ. Inside or out on the beautiful patio, it’s a major party!!!!
Now part of the Padda Restaurant Group (also Sanctuaria and Café Ventana) headed up by Dr. Gurpreet Padda and Ami Grimes, Chuy’s is in the lower level of the Coronado Building at Lindell and Spring in the space formerly occupied by Joe Barcardi’s. The Fajitas and Margaritas are as good, if not better, than ever. The secret of the good food is simple at Chuys: everything is made fresh everyday. Let me give you some favorites to try.
It starts with the homemade guacamole – big chunks of avocados hand-mashed with red onion, tomato, spices and cilantro. Bring on the chips! Same for the Chile Con Queso with green chiles, tomatoes, onions, cilantro and cheese. More chips, please. Chuys is know for their fajitas and you have many choices there, including the incredible shrimp fajitas. The Chicken and Spinach Quesadilla is also a favorite. Combination plates are available for those who love to try different tastes in one sitting. Portions are more than generous at Chuys and it’s a real value across the board. For the lighter appetites, try a soup and either Taco or Southwestern Chicken Taco salad. There are lunch and dinner specials everyday to make Chuy’s an even better value than it already is.
Chuy’s also has a great big ole happy hour everyday from 3:30-6:30 featuring all kinds of specials, including Tacos-For-A-Buck at the bar and signature margaritas (like the “Texas Tornado” and the “Patron Cadillac” that will knock your socks off). They also offer a huge selection of bottled and tap beer including the new Cathedral Square “Belgium White” and “Belgium Abbey”. And every Wednesday through Friday its Ladies Night from 9 to closing.
Chuy’s is open for lunch and dinner everyday from 11 – and get this if your “Rapido Lunch Special” is guaranteed within 15 minutes or it’s FREE!!! Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 9-3 and dinner on Sunday is 4-9pm. The kitchen is open till midnight on Friday and Saturday to feed those after-show or late evening appetites. Because of their proximity to both business and entertainment centers, the staff at Chuys makes sure that the food is served hot and fast so you can make any appointment, class, hockey game or curtain, on time. Chuy’s also has offers delivery and catering services for your parties or office meetings. And speaking of parties, Chuy’s has plenty of space for you office or family holiday get-together. There’s plenty of parking available behind the restaurant in the Moolah Garage and on the street.
Chuy’s is back in town, bigger and better than ever and it’s not to be missed. See you there!
